This party was for our twin's 8th birthday. It was inspired by an episode of the Big Bang Theory. We live in a subdivision that is made up of about 30 houses and its essentially one loop. My neighbors thankfully obliged me and let me use their front yards as "stops" along the way. Having twins, you have twice of everything... Two different classrooms means typically different circle of friends. In the end I think 51 kids came. Most used their scooters as transportation. Thankfully we had great weather - it would never have worked.
Since our twins were participants in the race, they couldn't help out on any part of the hunt. After researching some ideas on the web, this is what I came up with for ours:
I knew there would be a lot of kids. All I could think about was everyone converging at the same location at the same time. That would never work. I decided to separated into 3 paths: red, yellow, and blue. Just dividing into 3 paths still would make it too many kids in one group, so I divided the groups down to have a max of 4 kids in a group.
